Few have found as much success in women’s boxing as Amanda Serrano. The undisputed featherweight champion has made history by winning world titles in seven weight divisions. Her fight against Katie Taylor won the record for being billed as the biggest fight in women’s boxing history. Her upcoming March bout against Nina Meinke might just beat that record, judging from the ticket sales.
Serrano is set to fight against the IBF world female featherweight champion Nina Meinke at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Alongside her, fighting in the undercards is her promoter, Jake Paul. With the excitement for the event building up, the featherweight champion took to the social media platform, X to celebrate as well as boast about the ticket sales, her upcoming fight is already garnering.

Serrano went on to claim that her event would sell out, as there were still two months left before the fight. She wrote, “Almost 2 months left so rest assured it’s A SOLDOUT EVENT! Wow!” She ended the post by urging the people to get whatever seats are left so they are not stuck with the worst ones. The seats filling up this fast is evidence of Serrano’s popularity among her people.
In the upcoming match, Serrano is set to defend her IBF, WBA, and WBO women’s featherweight titles against Meinke. Although she originally held unified titles, she made the decision to voluntarily surrender her WBC title in December.

Serrano shocked the world as she vacated her WBC featherweight title. Her reason for the same was due to the organization refusing to sanction 12 three-minute round contests. Women’s fights are contested for 10 two-minute rounds. Serrano’s call for equality was rejected and she boycotted the organization in return and received praise across the board.
“Moving forward if a sanctioning body doesn’t want to give me and my fellow fighters the choice to fight the same as the men, then I will not be fighting for that sanctioning body,” said Serrano. More than 20 female boxers, including Serrano, signed a statement earlier this year expressing their desire to compete in three-minute rounds. Later on, Serrano became the first female boxer to fight 12 three-minute rounds. She went the whole distance with her opponent Danila Ramos.
