Davis holds a record of 77-12 as an amateur boxer, competing in 261 rounds. However, he couldn’t showcase his ability as a KO artist over there. Davis claimed zero wins via stoppage and his 12 losses also came via decision. So, it didn’t nourish the American boxers’ status as an elite hard-hitter.
Nevertheless, professional boxing saw a steady turn in the tides. He debuted in the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs Avni Yildirim in February 2021 and knocked out Lester Brown in round two. Two months later, Davis returned and stopped Richman Ashley in the undercard of Jamel Herring vs Carl Frampton and advanced his professional record to 2-0.
