Nicknamed ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’, Mike Tyson has been one of the most vicious boxers of all time. In a record of 50 wins and 6 losses, Tyson has stopped 44 of his opponents and most of them were highlight-reel moments. However, Tyson’s combat roots go back to his teenage where he was surrounded by petty crime and street goons. Tyson has had several fights before he made it big on the main stage.

Aged 55, the heavyweight legend doesn’t shy away from recalling those moments. In one of his former interactions with former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Tyson had admitted to being bullied. In another interaction with boxing champion Claressa Shields, Tyson admitted how he ended up in hospital after his training and fights. He also revealed knowing the importance of smart work from then.

Mike Tyson said in his podcast, “We would break our knee, we wreaked bones of your body. Yes in training.”

“We learned later in life that it’s about working smarter, not harder.”

“Take it easy, slow, smart. All the time I fought, I was always in the hospital. I hurt my leg, I hit my hand.”

“Playing in the streets, getting in the street fights, got gasses.”

“When I was dancing in a  club and knocked somebody out by accident. Dance and knock the  m**** f*** out.”

Mike Tyson has never really been invincible. Even in his boxing career, he has fallen prey several times inside the ring, and that too in a horrific fashion. But he could always come back from doom and offer his lion-heart into the display. That made him stand out amongst all.

Mike Tyson still has the itch to fight

Coming from such a hard-fought life, Tyson is still up for action in his dotage. He fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition in 2020 and earned a lucrative payday. The former heavyweight champion didn’t stop there. He claimed to return to other events of such caliber and garnered massive call-outs. Weeks ago, he was also rumored to go against Logan Paul in 2022. Hence, it validates a lifeline to Tyson’s resurrection in combat.
