Tyson Fury has been the face of the Heavyweight division ever since his victory against Deontay Wilder. After defeating the heavy hitter Wilder two times, he solidified his position as one of the best boxers in the whole division. Fury is a behemoth, however, he is still agile with his 6’9 frame. 2023 has been a great year for boxing, with a lot of fan-favorite fights being made. This has undoubtedly caused a lot of pressure on Fury to find a worthy opponent as well.

However, the ‘Gypsy King’ is yet to step into the ring, since his victory against Derek Chisora last year. Fury finally came up with a bout against ex-UFC champ Francis Ngannou looking to enter the sport, after talks going back and forth for a year and a half. However, this bout is being criticized by a lot of boxing enthusiasts and experts alike. Recently, former boxer and trainer Gary Logan also shared his two cents on the matter. Amid such criticism, Frank Warren, Fury’s manager came out and blasted other fighters for not daring to face the champion.

Frank Warren, disappointed in fighters, criticized their reluctance to accept credible challenges against Tyson Fury. Despite Fury’s attempts to secure fights with top boxers like Oleksandr Usyk, Andy Ruiz Jr, and Anthony Joshua, they declined.

Warren appeared especially frustrated towards Joshua. He shared how much time was wasted last December while trying to get a fight between Joshua and Fury. He stated, “Think about all the nonsense they come up with for excuses, you know? We went down that road last December, we wasted a lot of time on it.

He also spoke about how the desired matchup with Usyk never materialized as Joshua’s team pursued other opportunities. Referring to Usyk he said, “And they walked away because they thought they were walking away into better and bigger things. That’s why they did it. Now they are where they are and we are where we are.” Now, Fury faces Ngannou in a lucrative crossover event, not defending his title. Warren emphasizes the frustration of failing to secure desired fights and the current situation.

Tommy Fury, aka ‘TNT,’ triumphed over Jake Paul, leveraging his reach and boxing prowess. A rematch is not on his radar; instead, he’s set his sights on a bout with KSI, but minus the involvement of Frank Warren. After securing the victory, ‘TNT’ decided to part ways with the seasoned promoter and turned to his father, John Fury, to take charge.

During an interview with Express Sport, John Fury clarified their choice, citing dissatisfaction with Frank’s minimal contribution to the younger Fury’s career. Now, he eagerly aims for a comeback match against KSI, and there are encouraging indications that the fight might soon be confirmed.
