Should former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson fight again? In his prime, ‘Iron’ Mike was an unstoppable force, becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history—a record that remains unbroken to this day. He didn’t just win titles—he dominated, eventually becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. However, when the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ stepped into the ring last November to face a YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, it was clear that time had taken its toll.
Tyson struggled to keep up, gassing out by the second round and ultimately losing via unanimous decision. His performance made it clear that he should not fight again. However, if Tyson decides to continue, AI has suggested a grim future for him. After the Paul-Tyson fight ended last year, Mike Tyson took to the mic, suggesting he wanted to continue fighting. However, when AI was prompted with the possibility of Tyson’s return, it said, “Unlikely, but not impossible.” AI speculated that Tyson’s health issues may deter him from fighting again.
“Tyson’s health issues and underwhelming performance against Jake Paul suggest he may lean toward retirement,” it said. However, despite suffering an ulcer flare-up in early 2024 Tyson decided he wanted to fight. The fight itself was postponed from July to November, but Tyson didn’t let up. The main reason behind his decision is being speculated to be the money involved.

AI seems to think along the same lines, as it revealed why Tyson may fight again. “Financial incentives could tempt him back for one final exhibition,” it said. Tyson reportedly pocketed $20 million from the fight—so another payday could bring him back to the ring. Furthermore, AI also predicted who Tyson’s next opponent could be.
If you watched the fight on Netflix, Tyson’s first choice of opponent was Jake’s brother Logan Paul. Immediately after the bout, Tyson called out the WWE star for a boxing match. AI thinks there’s a strong possibility if Tyson returns, it would be against Logan. “Likely Logan Paul, who he called out, or a fellow aging legend like Evander Holyfield.”
Notably, Evander Holyfield had called out Tyson for a fight on social media, but the 58-year-old refused the offer. Regardless, AI claimed, Tyson’s next fight would be “designed more for nostalgia and pay-per-view buys than competition.” And this could prove to be disastrous!
AI makes an unsettling prediction for Mike Tyson’s next fight
The Paul-Tyson fight is already mired in controversy, with a majority of the fan base suggesting it was staged and Tyson held back for money. AI thinks the trend would continue if ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ came back to the ring again. “Tyson’s performance would likely be underwhelming again, given his declining health and conditioning,” it said.

“He would lose decisively or deliver a performance that many might deem ‘lackluster’ or ‘staged’.” Notably, people were also not happy about Tyson fighting at his age and blamed him for tarnishing his legacy and reputation for the sake of a payday. Tyson has claimed he fought again because it was fun for him and his legacy didn’t matter to him all that much.
However, AI predicts the same criticism will follow the boxing legend in his next fight. “[The fight will have] largely negative [reactions from fans], with many expressing frustration and disappointment,” it said. “Critics would call out Tyson for chasing paydays despite his evident decline, tarnishing his legacy further.” “Fans may call for him to retire permanently to preserve his health and reputation,” it added.

AI also looked at the possibility of what would happen if Tyson decided to stay out of the ring, noting his ca***bis business would flourish. “If Tyson doesn’t return, he focuses on his ca***bis business and media ventures,” it said. This will result in “his legacy as a boxing icon [remaining] intact,” but the opposite could see him “risk overshadowing his greatness with criticism and controversy.”
That said, it’s not just the fans who fear a grim future for Mike Tyson if he continues to fight at his age; AI seems to be on the same page as everyone else. However, it’s unlikely that opinions from either would stop the boxing legend if he is determined to continue his career. Do you agree with AI, or do you think Tyson should come back again?
