Ahead of the fight on the 29th of July, Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. recently had a face-off at the L.A. Press Conference. While Stephen Espinoza considered Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. to be part of “the strongest run of fights” they’ve had in the 37-year history of Showtime Boxing, Spence Jr. called the upcoming bout an “old school fight” similar to “Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Tommy Hearns.”
Meanwhile, Terence Crawford assured everyone that on July 29th they will witness “greatness“. While Spence Jr. called himself “the big fish“, Crawford suggested he would take the fish “out of the water” and “suffocate him“. While the duo exchanged words and raised everyone’s expectations regarding the fight, a number of people negatively commented about the outfits Spence Jr. and Crawford wore at the conference.

That people would comment about their outfits when they are busy staging one of the most desired fights in boxing has taken Crawford completely by surprise. As a result, taking to Twitter, the 35-year-old asked, “Since when did grown-a** man care so much about what two grown-a** man wear?” “I never got that. I could be tripping or not but I’m not looking at no grown-a** man and tell him what he should put on like I’m his girlfriend or something,” declared Crawford in public.

Anyway, at the press conference, the WBO welterweight title holder, who will go for the knockout against the unified welterweight champion, declared, “There will be greatness on July 29th.” In his opinion, greatness is measured by eras. Likewise, Crawford announced that we have had the Sugar Ray Robinson era, the Marvin Hagler era, and even the Floyd Mayweather era in boxing. “July 29th, I’mma show each and every one of you why this era is the Terence Crawford era. He called himself the big fish, right? But what you do when the fish get took out of the water? You suffocate him,” concluded ‘Bud’.
