Within less than a week of winning the title, Taylor relinquished it. With this move, the 25-year-old has ensured that the time has come for him to part ways with something he truly loves. Lopez shared a message for those who are questioning his greatness.

The Brooklyn-born took to his Instagram to give a gist of his sensational achievements throughout his professional career. Retiring at the age of 25 is not something we see much often in the sport. However, Lopez has his personal reasons for taking this decision.

Teofimo Lopez took to his Instagram to share a list of achievements and a question for everyone who hates him and doubts his capabilities. The 25-year-old shared a list of all the world titles he has garnered throughout his professional career, with a message for his haters.

Lopez wrote  Lineal super-Lightweight championship, WBO super-Lightweight championship, Ring Magazine Super-Lightweight, and many other championships he won. And, with all the mentions of his championship titles, he posed a question towards everyone who doubts his greatness. He wrote, “How can you ever question my greatness?!” With this, he also inserted a hashtag that said, “StopHating.”

Many fans don’t want Lopez to retire from the sport and feel that he should continue delivering stupendous performances inside the boxing ring. But Lopez believes that he has nothing to prove. And it is safe to say that he has a respectable boxing record to substantiate his claim.

Why do fans not want Lopez to retire?

‘The Takeover’ is one of the best professional boxers, and it seems like the reason why his fans did not want him to retire is because they want him to fight other top fighters before he retires. Boxing fans have never witnessed Lopez clash with other big names such as Devin Haney, Gervonta Davis, and Shakur Stevenson.
