In a recent interview, Tyson Fury gave an update on his career plans. And named the boxers he would like to fight next.

Fury last fought against Deontay Wilder in February 2020. Unlike their first bout, the “Gypsy King” completely dominated Wilder in the second fight. He even knocked down Wilder twice before forcing his corner to stop the bout in the seventh round.

While most people would prefer to see him face fellow British rival, Anthony Joshua, his contract states that he must fight Wilder first. Wilder demanded $10 million to step aside for Fury vs Joshua. But Fury said he would not pay Wilder $10,000 to step aside.

Tyson Fury believes that a title unification bout is next

Dillian Whyte is the WBC mandatory challenger. And Fury said that he is next in line to fight for the title.

“I know Dillian Whyte is a WBC mandatory. I inherited him from Deontay Wilder. Well at the moment, I got an immediate rematch with Wilder.”

However, the Brit then stated that a unification bout with Joshua will probably precede the fight with Dillian Whyte.

Fury reveals career goals

As most fans might be aware, Fury had previously stated that he has 2 more fights before he retires. Yet he recently changed his stance and revealed that he wants to fight for a longer time. So what’s the reason behind Fury’s change in attitude?

“I’m coming to the end of my contract with Top Rank,” Fury said. “I got two more fights left with those guys and I wanna renew it. I don’t wanna walk away after two more fights. I’m 31 years old.”

Furthermore, Fury also revealed how he can get a big-money deal. He said that all the glory lies after he beats Wilder and Joshua.

“After I’ve wiped out these two dossers [Wilder and Joshua], then you know – the world is my oyster. I wanna see that big-big contract come from ESPN and whoever is out there battling to get The Gypsy King on their station.”
