YouTube sensation Logan Paul might be the next victim of Twitter’s new verification policy. The new owner of the platform Elon Musk introduced a new verification system where anyone could be verified as long as they paid a nominal amount of $8 a month.

However, this has led to the creation of a lot of fake accounts that are shown as verified on the side. This was exactly what happened with Paul as he joked that he was offered a billion dollars from Musk on his podcast. Co-host Mike Majlak stated that they received news that The Maverick would be getting a billion dollars to take over the social media platform Vine. “We got the news early on right after his acquisition and you confirmed that he paid you a billion dollars cash to take over Vine. Have you gotten that cheque?” he said.

However, Paul claimed that he has not yet received the cheque. “Not yet and honestly Elon hasn’t even contacted me yet.” said Paul. Majlak then clarified that although Paul was contacted on social media by a verified account, he did not receive the money. The Ohio-based YouTuber then stated that he was starting to think it wasn’t real. ” But I don’t have the money or the position yet no one from Twitter has reached out to me. I’m starting to believe that tweet wasn’t real.” said Paul.

This was nothing more than a way to troll Twitter’s new policies that have been under fire. The popping up of fake verified accounts was the major problem when this new process was launched. Moreover, this led to the whole thing being scrapped just after its launch.

Logan Paul expresses interest to face John Cena at WrestleMania

Following his match with Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel, Paul has not set his sights on a legend in the industry. In the podcast, Paul also expressed his interest to face 16-time WWE champion John Cena at Wrestlemania. “After the Crown Jewel event, John Cena posted about me on his Instagram. And then I saw an article saying he’s looking for an opponent at WrestleMania. I favorited it, responded with “the eyes”. I mean, truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet.” Said Paul
