The night of 6th May saw Canelo Alvarez defeat John Ryder in his hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico, via unanimous decision, defending his undisputed super middleweight title. With about 63 total fights and 59 wins, ‘Cinnamon’ is one of boxing’s finest, and is rightfully a global star.
Canelo Alvarez expressed his interest in a rematch with Dmitry Bivol. “Everybody knows, we want the rematch with Bivol. Same rules, same terms, same everything. I want it that way. I think I’m better than him, that’s it,” said Canelo. Recently, even one of the Charlo twin brothers entered the scene.

Jermell went live on Instagram where he aggressively called out Canelo Alvarez for a fight. “Why y’all don’t make Canelo versus Charlo?” asked Jermell. “This B**ch can’t beat me,” he said. He “isn’t concerned about the size differences between him and Canelo because of Alvarez’s present form. Charlo Vs Canelo could be a big thing in boxing,” he concluded.

The Undisputed 154lbs. champion Jermell Charlo has entered the scene by calling out the champion Canelo Alvarez for a fight. Besides, Jermell also mentioned in his live session how he thinks Canelo can’t beat him with his “sh***y last performance,” referring to Alvarez’s recent showdown against Ryder.
Canelo Alvarez’s next 2 potential opponents revealed; Not Bivol or Benavidez

Canelo Alvarez has a near-perfect record with only two losses holding him back. His first ever professional defeat came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2013 and the next one in 2022 when he moved to the light heavyweight division to take on Dmitry Bivol.
Last weekend in Cleveland, Alvarez’s trainer Eddy Reynoso reportedly met with PBC’s Al Haymon and discussed the Mexican star’s second bout of 2023 and the potential opponents for him. As per ESPN, the names of Jermall Charlo and Badou Jack came up.
