Former four-division world champion Adrien Broner is about to make a return to the ring this year. He last fought in 2021. And since then hasn’t made any ring appearance. The last two years have not been a smooth sail for the champ. And he has been quite vocal about his struggles with his fans. He reportedly struggled with mental health issues and alcohol addiction. But, now it seems like Broner is eager to step foot in the ring again. He was also scheduled to fight Michael Williams Jr. But, Williams Jr had to pull out from the fight due to an injury.

Recently, Broner took to Instagram to share news of his return to the ring this year. The news is a delight for all the ‘AB’ fans who have been waiting for the former champ to make a comeback.

‘The Problem’ took to Instagram and shared a message about his return back to the boxing ring. This will be Broner’s return since his last win against Jovanie Santiago. And this announcement comes after Broner signed with the veteran promoter Don King.

The 33-year-old wrote, “Whoever got put in front of me I’m standing on business #June.” The former champ teased a fight for the month of June. And it seems like Broner is ready to fight anybody. Broner did not confirm any opponent for his fight. So, the list of potential opponents is long, and the fans would be excited to see who stands in front of Broner in his much-anticipated comeback fight.

Broner is one of the most hardworking boxers in the sport. And, despite many setbacks, he is ready to step into the ring again and end his career on a high note. It will be interesting to see how the comeback fight goes for Broner.

Why was Broner inactive for the last two years?

Broner has been open about the struggles he had to face in the last two years. He struggled with mental health issues. And even withdrew from his fight against Omar Figueroa on mental health grounds. This is not the only problem he was experiencing during that time. Broner developed an alcohol addiction, but he overcame this addiction with his fighting spirit.

Broner’s professional and personal life has had its share of bad ups and downs. But, the boxer’s fighting spirit is commendable. Meanwhile, the world awaits his official fight announcement. And now it seems like it can come anytime.
