During his prime, four-division world champion, Adrien Broner, was on the pedestal of boxing glory. He awed the boxing fraternity and fans alike with his powerful performances inside the ring. However, this victory lap quickly came crashing down after a host of mental and personal issues burdened Broner. Moreover, in 2021, he went on to take a substantial break from the sport that made him a household name. Broner recently announced his comeback, in what is believed to be a resurgence of the prime ‘AB’. It was also reported that he has signed with the veteran boxing promoter, Don King. And, boxing superstar, Gervonta Davis, could not resist making a comment.

Broner was set to make a comeback on February 25, 2023, with a showdown against Michael Williams Jr. But, the fight did not materialize, as Williams Jr. had to back out due to a jaw injury. This, in turn, led to Broner ending his association with BLK Prime. It was later announced that he has signed with the Hall of Fame promoter. In a statement, King was all praise for his newest ward. Additionally, he also went on to issue an open challenge to the other promoters including Al Haymon and Eddie Hearn.

Davis who was amused by this union between the two went on to make a rather cheeky comment. He mentioned that both Broner and King looked the same age. Notably, King is 91 years old, while Broner is 33.

Fans were not too fond of the Adrien Broner – Don King partnership

A lot of fans shadowed Davis is showing uneasiness at the partnership between the duo. And, took to social media to share their thoughts.

User @UnknownRGR2000 wasted no time in forecasting Broner’s downfall.

A few users agreed with Davis’ statement. Moreover, user @PopCultureSol wanted to see a fight between Broner and Davis.

Meanwhile, user @ZKel1980 mentioned that King was still living on Mike Tyson’s money.
