Three-belt unified champion Anthony Joshua seems to be pushing his limits for the upcoming showdown against Oleksandr Usyk on September 25. After shedding some muscle from his physical frame, the Brit boxer has also begun working with a southpaw pugilist in his camp.

Hence, Usyk’s stance may not surprise ‘AJ’ when they lock horns inside the ring. Demsey McKean, 19-0, is rightly assisting Joshua in the camp and appears to be honing his skills too.

Still fresh from a win against Kiki Toa Leutele, Kean has flown down to the UK and has connected with Sky Sports to share several insights. The Australian boxer also addressed his own combat future, but the prime focus was always on Anthony Joshua.

Sharing his experience, Demsey McKean said, “Done some training yesterday afternoon. He was there, met him, had a bit of a chat. A lovely bloke. We’ve got our first spar today. I’m looking forward to that. It’s going to be a good experience.”

“He’s the biggest name in boxing in the world at the moment, in all weight classes, let alone heavyweight. To be in there and to gauge myself against the No 1 guy in the heavyweight division, that’s massive for me.”

“A really good experience. It was good to be training alongside him and it’s going to be even better to trade some punches with him very shortly.”

However, Usyk can differ significantly from McKean. The former cruiserweight champion successfully beat Dereck Chisora to begin a new ride in the heavyweight division. As he is on the brink of becoming a two-weight champion, we might see his best side on September 25.
