Boxing is a sport filled with brutal knockouts that can send shivers down the spine of anyone witnessing it. Although these knockouts are a common part of the sport, they do give a layman an idea about the frightening reality of combat sports. However, there are some knockouts that stand out from the rest and showcase the extent of how brutal boxing can really be.

One such Knockout happened back in 2021 during a fight between former two-division world champion Oscar Valdez and Miguel Berchelt for the WBC super-featherweight title. The fight took place in the MGM Grand Arena back in 2021 and turned out to be one of the biggest nights in Valdez’s boxing career. In addition, the fight would also provide fans with a knockout that will be remembered for years to come.

TopRank boxing recently shared a video of the bout on their social media page. The clip showcased the brutal left hook by Valdez that knocked out Berchelt cold in the tenth round. This would turn out to be a great upset in the sport and cemented Valdez as a top boxer.

Berchlet on the other hand was badly hurt by the devastating punch and remained unconscious on the canvas for several minutes. However, he was able to sit back up eventually before being taken to the hospital for medical care. This was certainly one of the most brutal knockouts in the past five years and the fans were quick to make their feelings known as they reacted to the resurfaced video.

One fan stated that he remembered watching the match live expressing his fear of the knockout as well.

Another fan claimed that Valdez ended Berchelt’s career after this fight.

Moreover, one fan praised the technique and power behind Valdez’s left hook and was in awe of how he generated power while moving backward.

A fan even touted this knockout as the best he had ever seen live.

Lastly, one fan criticized Berchelt for not following basic boxing drills and questioning his intelligence.

The fans were more than excited to see this KO after almost two years. Moreover, given how good the knockout was it will be remembered for many years to come. Since this fight, Valdez has fought twice with his recent bout being a UD loss to Shakur Stevenson. However, he is planning to make his return in May and then eventually face WBO featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete and hopefully give fans more spectacular knockouts on the way.
