Both pictures depict a huge difference in Wilder’s body weight.

After losing the highly anticipated trilogy bout against ‘The Gypsy King‘, The Olympic bronze medalist had decided to retire. But a long layoff made him realize that he still has enough left to offer.

As of now, the 36-year-old knockout machine has decided to kick start his career again with a new mindset. In the process, he cut a decent weight to gain his speed and rhythm, which was lacking when he fought Fury in October 2021.

Interestingly, fans appreciated the former champ’s move.

Fans pushed Deontay Wilder to remain in his natural body shape

A fan wrote, “He gained weight to try and deal with Furys size. Didn’t work so he is going back to 15/16stone. Makes sense.”

Another fan highlighted that Wilder produced a competitive exchange in his first fight because his body weight was less.

Another fan also praised the transformation.

Another fan gave a reasonable suggestion. He wrote, “Makes no sense for him to stay bulk up nobody else is 6’9 300+.”

Another fan wrote that the weight Wilder put on for Fury was not his natural weight.

Bulking up certainly did not help Wilder against Fury. Moreover, it had an adverse effect on him in the ring.

Another fan claimed that Wilder was best when he was at 213lbs.

According to another fan, Wilder was at his best against Ortiz.

Another fan trolled Wilder for skinny legs.

Another fan wrote, Does he not know that pumping your body full of juice affects your body’s aerobic performance? Wonder if that’s why he gassed out against fury. Hopefully learnt his lesson.”
