The heavyweight division has forever been the abode of the Titans. Boxers in this division have been some of the biggest and toughest athletes ever in the combat sports scene. Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the other hand, has been on a quest to recruit domineering individuals into the Russian army. And it seems like he might have just found the perfect addition. Reports say that Putin has recruited a formidable 7-foot-tall boxer, Nikolai Valuev, into the military.

Nikolai Sergeyevich Valuev, rightfully nicknamed ‘The Beast from the East’, is a former professional boxer. Moreover, he was also a two-time WBA heavyweight titleholder. Having held the title twice between 2005 and 2009. Valuev was also billed as the tallest and heaviest world champion in boxing history. He dwarfed his competitors by standing at 7 feet (2.13 meters) and weighing a whopping 149 kg (328 lb).

Valuev also has a stellar record in professional boxing, with an impressive 50-2-0 with 34 knockouts. It should also be mentioned that he was never knocked out in his entire professional career.

It was recently reported that he was summoned to the military office. Talking about the same, he said, “I think everyone came. I also received a notice. I’m going to the military office now. The only thing is that my colleagues are great, they did it, they got on the military register in the State Duma and received a summons here, and I have to go home.”
