Boxing legend Mike Tyson was recently spotted in a frail and weak condition at the Miami airport. The former heavyweight champion needed the support of a wheelchair clicking pictures with his fans as he was rolled through the airport. At 56 years old, it seemed like age was finally starting to catch up to Iron Mike.

However, just a few weeks after this scare, Tyson looked in far better condition. In a photoshoot with hip-hop icon Drake’s brand OVO, Iron Mike showed off his physique while changing for the shoot. He looked slimmer and more toned and could actively move around without any outside help.
This was a major improvement from his weak condition a few weeks back. The boxing legend was reportedly suffering from a sciatica flare-up in his back, which forved him to take the support of a wheelchair. Moreover, this health scare was only amplified after Tyson predicted that he was going to pass away soon on his podcast, HotBoxin’ “We’re all gonna die one day, of course. Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face. I say, ‘wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon.” said Tyson.

Despite these recent scares, the 56-year-old is still looking to be in good condition for the time being. However, he does need to concentrate more on his health as age catches up to him.

This is not the first time Tyson has admitted that he would die soon. The former heavyweight champion made a shocking admission back in 2013. Tyson made a bold came during an ESPN Friday Night Fights post-fight press conference in Verona, New York. Iron Mike talked about sobriety and the effects of drugs in his life and stated that he needed to become sober if he wanted to live. “I want to live my sober life. I don’t want to die. I’m on the verge of dying, because I’m a vicious alcoholic,” said Tyson.

Although Tyson has had his struggles with substance abuse that almost led him to an untimely death, he overcame his demons and fought addiction and illnesses like the champ he is.
