Rapper Whiz Khalifa and Amber Rose had a very public breakup. The two began dating in 2011 and got married two years later. Parents to Sebastian Taylor, they filed for a divorce in 2014. The reasons for separation vary per multiple sources. However, Khalifa and Rose agreed on one binding principle: their son’s welfare. So instead of pursuing a lengthy and painful custody battle, the couple picked up co-parenting as an alternative. The thirty-five-year-old rapper expressed his gratitude for having had the company of such an understanding partner, notwithstanding them being exes.

Fans saw the Work Hard, Play Hard singer joining YouTuber Logan Paul on his podcast Impaulsive. Entertainment wrestling’s raging sensation, Paul, hosts the show with his close friends Mike Majlak and George Jenko. The talks began with the rapper explaining how he stepped into the music world.

Cameron Jibril Thomaz, aka Whiz Khalifa, grew up a military lad. He penned lyrics for the first at nine. And by the time he was twelve, he was making records and releasing them under his name. During his time as a high school student in Pittsburgh, Khalifa established roots for his future solo career and remained busy recording at a local studio called I.D. Labs.
Logan Paul was curious to understand the rapper’s views on co-parenting. And the rapper very enthusiastically shared the details of his relationship with his ex Amber Rose, “…his mom is amazing, Amber I love her she’s a good friend, a great partner, a good uh probably like the best EX ever…”
Adding further, he mentioned she is like a best friend to him. And since both had been through tough times, their bond is much stronger. In addition, they share similar views and opinions on raising their son Sebastian. George jumped in between to ask whether their relationship had always been on the same wavelength.

It took a song for the couple to realize their mistakes
Whiz said it wasn’t like that when they broke up, “…I think the main part was the breakup, uh, that had a lot to do with our animosity towards each other…”
Probably the pair soon realized that burying the hatchet would be the best option. The well-being and interest of their son came first and above everything else.

Reportedly, Amber Rose opted to settle matters out of court for the benefit of their son once she heard Wiz’s new song, See You Again. The latter wrote the song along with Charlie Puth, DJ Frank E, and Andrew Cedar as a tribute to Paul Walker. It’s said that after hearing it, the former couple settled on a plan for raising their son together.
