Speaking on the ‘Last Stand Podcast,‘ Holyfield previewed his potential return. Talking about the monetary aspect of the fight, he said, “I think it will be a lot of money and a lot of millions. I think, a hundred million. The fight would be big because so many people want the fight.”
This is a lot of money for an exhibition fight. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will reportedly earn a similar fee for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. This just goes to show how lucrative the trilogy will be.
However, Holyfield is right in saying that the fight would be huge because many fans want to see it. The two have shared a fiery history in the past, and given the success of Mike Tyson’s first exhibition against Roy Jones Jr, this could draw higher numbers.

The former champion also responded to Mike Tyson’s recent claims. ‘Iron Mike’ claimed Holyfield was just one potential opponent among many. Moreover, they would look at him for the future after a couple of more fights.

To this, Holyfield replied with, “The only thing that I hear people talking about [is] they want to Tyson and myself. And you know, this is what the world want to see. But you’re not in that situation, so you have to want to do it. So, I guess we have to come together and do it.”
Therefore, Holyfield has remained adamant that the pair have to make this fight happen. He has previously hit out at Tyson for trying to avoid him. Moreover, given both fighters’ age, a fight seems impractical to many impartial observers.
