Shaquille O’Neal takes on Floyd Mayweather’s rivals
‘Shaq Vs.’ is an American TV series starring the basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal, challenging different athletes in their own sport. Famously, he took on Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps in three swimming races, as well as boxing legends, Oscar De La Hoya and Shane Mosley.
In season 1 episode 4, the LA Lakers legend went toe to toe with Golden Boy fighter De La Hoya in a five-round sparring match with headgear. It was a sight to behold as it perfectly paralleled the David and Goliath storyline. The former boxer defeated O’Neal via decision after an emphatic performance by both athletes.
