Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has had his ways of working around drug tests. Meanwhile, former NBA player and Memphis Grizzlies small forward, Matt Barnes, seemingly cheated on drug tests for 15 years.
Mike Tyson was hosting his ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’ podcast along with DJ Whoo Kid. Barnes and former Phoenix Suns shooting guard Stephen Jackson aka ‘Stak’ were the guests on the show. In conversation, DJ Whoo Kid asked the duo how they avoided PED drug tests while drafted into the NBA.

In response, Barnes shared his secret to working around drug tests. He said, “So basically, what we do is, I would just go into GNC. Like yo I got to take, they recognize me. I’m like I got to take a test. What do you recommend to flush my body? So we started getting the names of the best drinks that they had.”
He also added, “So, I would pay my trainers some little money under the table. Just to give me a heads up of you know when is it.”

Barnes also added that NBA stopped giving names of athletes who were to be tested and they picked groups instead. He mentioned that he used to prepare like it was him being tested every time, using the drinks to mask his urine.
Mike Tyson cheats on drug tests
Mike Tyson confessed that he was addicted to drugs during his major fights. However, Tyson shared a rather intriguing trick that he used to avoid getting caught on drug tests.

He revealed that he used a whizzinator, which is a fake urinal appendage. Moreover, he also mentioned he used urine from his wife and child to pass the drug tests.
However, Tyson stopped using it after his wife warned that the test might reveal that ‘Tyson’ is pregnant.
