Former world heavyweight champion George Foreman and legendary NBA player Shaquille O’Neal are two of them. However, their athletic career was just a minor element that added to their millions.

Along with an illustrious NBA career, Shaq is also known for his entrepreneurial skills and vast investments. Among his various businesses, Shaq joined the board of directors at Papa John’s Pizza in 2019. 

Apparently, the company was amid a controversy when Shaq joined them. The NBA player was one of the key figures to help the company regain its name. Interestingly, the company prevailed over the consequences and is a well-known brand now.

Earlier, O’Neal got $4.125 million from the company. However, Shaq’s name is a big attraction to visit Papa John’s, and the new agreement will pay him $5.625 million in a course of three years. But boxing legend George Foreman’s business venture earned him much more than Shaq’s deal. 

George Foreman’s million-dollar business venture 

The 73-year-old is one of the greatest boxers of all time. He is a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist. However, he was once in very bad condition financially. This forced him to come back to boxing again, and Foreman made a dent in the universe through his stunning comeback.

Apparently, the former champ joined hands with a fat-reducing grill company named Salton, Inc. As per the reports, Foreman was paid a staggering $138 million in 1999 by the company to use his name. Before that, he was paid 40 percent of the profits on each grill sold. This led to him earning around $4.5 million per month.

The grill is so famous among fans that it is known by Foreman’s face and name. The veteran athlete now has a net worth of $300 million, and he has earned roughly $200 million from just Salton Inc.
