Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz has missed weight for his upcoming boxing debut against Anderson Silva. Both fighters have signed a contractual agreement to fight at 195 pounds.

However, according to MMA Junkie, Tito Ortiz weighed in at 200 pounds while Silva weighed in at 192.6. Interestingly, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was quite vocal about Ortiz not missing weight in the buildup.

Unfortunately, it seems like ‘The Spider’ wasn’t wrong to be concerned about Ortiz not keeping his side of the bargain. As of now, there are no reports of the bout being canceled because of the discrepancy.

Triller Fight Club Legends 2, will take place this Saturday in Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. Tito Ortiz vs Anderson Silva will be an eight-round boxing bout. Which will feature as the co-main event for a heavyweight battle between Vitor Belfort and Evander Holyfield.

While Anderson Silva is coming off a split decision victory against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Ortiz looks to make his boxing debut with the newly formed promotion. Although Anderson Silva certainly has superior striking skills and reach, the weight difference could have a significant impact on the bout.

On one hand, Anderson Silva will hope to keep Tito Ortiz on the end of his punches. While Ortiz will look to cut off the ring and stifle his opponent’s attack while landing blows from mid-range.

Another major factor will be their cardio. Although ‘The People’s Champ’ has been competing in MMA until the pandemic, there are questions regarding his conditioning.

Come fight night, both UFC alumni will look to make a statement as they attempt to make a name for themselves in another sport.
