It’s only been a few weeks since Jake Paul picked up his fourth professional boxing win against Tyron Woodley. Yet the former Disney star is already in the middle of a beef with another UFC star; Jorge Masvidal.
Interestingly, both Jake Paul and Masvidal seemed to be quite friendly with each other initially. The Miami native came out to support the 24-year-old in the lead up to his boxing match with Ben Askren, a former opponent of his.
However, ever since Masvidal publicly picked Tyron Woodley to win against Jake Paul, the two haven’t been able to see eye to eye. In a recent interview with the Full Send podcast, Jake Paul gave his take on how things went downhill between him and ‘Gamebred’.

“Yeah, so he started acting like a h*e. He switched up randomly one day; it was like. You know he has the same manager as Tyron, so of course, when I signed the deal with Tyron and then boom like he’s instantly like ‘F*k Jake Paul, Tyron’s going to beat this guy’s ass’. But I’m like, weren’t you the one asking me to hang out and like do your little YouTube videos and shit? And I’m like cool. He was a nice guy, he’s been nothing but nice to me. But as soon as you like one way, act like a friend and then switch up with no explanation and no just being like ‘Yo, you know I’m just doing this for whatever reason.’ If he would have hit me like that, but I don’t know, he just acted weird and so it all went downhill.”
Furthermore, Masvidal has recently stated he would be more than willing to take on any of the Paul brothers. Even vowing to end their boxing careers once and for all.
Jorge Masvidal vs Jake Paul
While Tyron Woodley is one of the most decorated welterweights in the history of the UFC, the former champion didn’t possess exceptional striking abilities. On the other hand, Jorge Masvidal has quickly become one of the most vicious finishers in the UFC.

Despite his most recent loss against Kamaru Usman, ‘Gamebred’ has crisp boxing skills and is a gifted counter striker. And although a transition to boxing will certainly require him to change his style, he will certainly be a level up in competition for Jake Paul. Furthermore, Jake Paul will not have too much of a size advantage with Masvidal as compared to Woodley.
However, one must not forget that Masvidal is in a contractual agreement with the UFC. Unless UFC president Dana White is ready to bend the rules, as he did for McGregor, the possibility of a boxing bout between ‘The Problem child’ and Masvidal is next to impossible.
