After drumming up some drama with Terence Crawford and Eddie Hearn, Teofimo Lopez has raised some more eyebrows. However, this time, he’s got no hostility to hint at but rather some good times to boast.

Earlier, ‘The Takeover’ unleashed his dismay at ‘Bud’ supposedly not accepting his fight offer on multiple occasions. While refuting all the achievements the undisputed champion has claimed in his career, Lopez alleged that Crawford has only fought injured fighters. In a second episode of such an outburst, he called the promoter a “fluke and a liar” for labeling Lopez as a fighter who cannot sell his fight. While the fiascos continue to make headlines, Lopez has provided more to report on—this time for his association with Jorge Masvidal.

On his Instagram, the 26-year-old fighter posted a video of him with former MMA fighter, Jorge Mavidal. In it, the two able fighters from different formats of combat can be seen going on a run across a park in the cold, decked out in warmers, hoodies, and beanies. On the reel, Lopez wrote, “The baddest men in all of combat! A journey of leadership.” In response, Masvidal, who last fought in the octagon in April last year, commented, “Les go men.”

The post comes as Lopez prepares for his next title defense against Jamaine Ortiz on the 8th of February at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. On the other hand, 39-year-old Masvidal’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA will host the next edition of its championship on the 2nd of March at the Kia Center in Orlando.

With so much happening in both fighters’ careers, one would imagine that fans would have questions about these plans. However, on this post, the comments section was filled with heartwarming appreciation for both of them.

Glad to see this collab.” Another fan thought the two fighters were an “Amazing duo,” with another echoing the sentiment, “Double trouble.”
