While the richest men on the planet find another way to channel their competition, they have also sought means to make it a humanitarian cause. The cage fight between Tesla’s Elon Musk and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg is all set to take its course as per MMA rules. Folks have opined about the fight being yet another spectacle by two rich folks. But, this avenue has also become a means for charity in response.

Stakeholders have jumped in to be a part of this historic face-off. They have called for making the fight a platform to uplift folks from the margins. The proceeds from the highly anticipated and covered matchup have been asked to be channeled to communities that require it. Amidst these calls, Dana White jumped at the opportunity to harness it. Musk, on the other hand, has vowed to do something for the people on the margins.

The philanthropy of it all, Elon Musk looks to donate

In developments leading to the big cage fight, Elon took to X to announce that the bout will not be managed by the UFC. Instead, it will be managed by Mark and his foundations. Also announcing the venue and where one can watch the high-profile clash, he said that it will be streamed live on X and Meta. The backdrop of it will be ancient Rome. However, Dana White had also stepped into this narrative. Showing UFC’s interest in the bout, the president said he would sell Musk Zuck T-shirts of the bout and the proceeds of it will go to charity. However, with the bout slipping from UFC, there seems to be other plans.

As Musk announced that all proceeds from the live telecast would go to veterans and pediatric hospitals, Jake Paul chimed in. Taking a dig at White, ‘the Problem Child’ said, “Elon Musk is the real boss of bosses. Meanwhile Dana White selling Musk Zuck t-shirts. This is how you do it. All to charity.” He further also offered his assistance to Musk.

A historic backdrop for the battle of the riches

As mentioned earlier, the Tesla boss confirmed that his fight against Mark Zuckerberg will in fact take place in Rome. A homage to the grandeur of the location’s past, the fight will happen in an “epic location.” Talks between Elon Musk and the Italian culture minister, Gennaro Sangiuliano have taken place. However, the final update on the location is awaited. This idea was first conceptualized by Dana White, who had hoped to manage the high profile fight.

Talking about the conversation he had with Musk, Gennaro said, “We talked about the common passion for the history of ancient Rome. We are discussing how to organise a great charity and historical evocation event, in full respect of the sites.”

There are high chances that the fight between the two might be delayed for a while. This comes in light as Elon also mentioned that he would be undergoing surgery soon. The surgery for his ‘shoulder problems ‘would require a few months of recovery. However, a little bit of a wait for the most thrilling and exciting fight does not seem that tedious.
