Elon Musk has once again gotten the internet buzzing. The CEO of Tesla Motors and Twitter owner Elon Musk recently made a bold statement challenging Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of Facebook. Moreover, even Zuckerberg has replied to the challenge positively. This all started after Musk, 51 years old, issued a challenge to Zuckerberg following a comment he made about Zuckerberg’s rumored project called Threads.

Musk took a jab at Zuckerberg and wrote that he is sure “Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb”. Moreover, he sarcastically wrote, “At least it will be ‘sane'” and that he was “worried there for a moment”. However, one user cautioned Musk to be “careful” and mentioned Zukerberg’s Jiu-Jitsu training. This prompted one of the richest men in the world to boldly state, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” The user then joked that he loves Elon but he “better start training”.

What’s more surprising is that Zuckerberg has taken Musk up on his challenge. Zuckerberg recently took to Instagram as he shared the screenshot of the entire exchange. Moreover, the Facebook cofounder simply wrote, “Send me location”. With both figures involved appearing to be serious about the bout, YouTuber and founder of Most Valued Promotions Jake Paul has also shared his interest in promoting the bout.

The user shared Zuckerberg’s response on Twitter and revealed that it was on Zuck’s story, writing “Simulation confirmed”. He shared his desire to be Musk’s sparring partner. Even more surprising was Musk’s reply as he retweeted the post writing, “If this is for real, I will do it”. Jake Paul took the chance and expressed his interest in promoting the potential bout, albeit with a catch that they will do it for charity. He wrote, “Elon I will gladly promote your fight against Zuck, we can do it in the PFL on ESPN+ for charity.” Notably, Paul himself is set to face Nate Diaz this August in Dallas.

However, it’s worth noting that Zuckerberg has been training in Jiu-Jitsu, and even participated in a tournament in May. Musk may have underestimated the Facebook cofounder as he has shown his dedication to the sport. During his appearance on Lex Friedman’s podcast, he talked about the importance of being willing to start as a beginner and face defeat in order to continue learning and growing.

However, Musk, on the other hand, has his own set of experience when it comes to martial arts. He has trained in martial arts such as Kyokushin karate, taekwondo, and judo, and had a brief experience with Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
