Former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to the ring in an exhibition bout. It will be the second of what he claimed would be five exhibitions in five countries in nine months in 2023. Although the 50-0 boxer’s list of past non-professional opponents includes the likes of Logan Paul and Aaron Chalmers, his choice of opponent this time has left the boxing world perplexed. ‘Money’ will face John Gotti III, the grandson of the infamous American gangster John Gotti on June 11. As odd as this matchup is, the hype around this fight can already be seen among the fans, who are eager to witness the two clash inside the boxing ring. And, it seems like, before they meet inside the boxing ring on fight night.
Gotti has sent a stern warning to the boxing Hall of Famer ahead of their bout, revealing his mindset about stepping inside the ring in just over a month.

John Gotti III indicated his intentions for his upcoming fight against one of the best boxers in the world. In a recent media press conference, he said, “June 11, I’m bringing bad intentions to that man. I don’t care if it’s an exhibition or not. You signed to fight me; there’s no quarter. It’s kill or be killed.”
Notably, Gotti himself claimed that he had been a fan of ‘Money’ Mayweather (46) from an early age. But he also clarified that he isn’t planning on going soft due to the fact that he will be fighting his childhood hero.
He said, “This was my idol. This was a guy I did school projects on. It was a guy I looked up to. The fact that I’m in a position to stand across the ring from Floyd is a tremendous honor.”
