Reality TV stars Paris Hilton, and Kim Kardashian rose to fame in a similar fashion. Both came into the spotlight with Kardashian becoming the focus of her show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, while Hilton was an already established socialite. Notably, their friendship dates back to before Kim K got her breakthrough.

Kardashian was the closet organizer and one of Hilton’s best friends. However, the two reportedly grew apart after Kardashian tasted fame. So it came as no surprise when boxing legend Mike Tyson felt uncomfortable when he was asked to choose between the two.

Mike Tyson is put in an uncomfortable situation

In an interview with ‘Access Daily’ Tyson was asked to play a game called ‘Celebrity fight Club’. The game pitted fellow celebrities against each other, with Iron Mike choosing the winner. Eventually, the host pitted Hilton against Kim K.

Unwillingly, Iron Mike looked objectively at the situation and chose Kardashian. He stated that Hilton was too small to stand a chance against her former best friend. “It doesn’t look like Paris is going to do well, she’s just a petite person. She’s very feminine, doesn’t look like she’s going to be plugging,” said Tyson.

He even went on to praise Kim K, referring to her as a ‘slugger’. “Kim just strikes me as more of a slugger than Paris,” he added.

Both Kardashian and Hilton lived in Beverly Hills, California, but went to different schools. They had one mutual friend named Nicole Richie. In 2003, Kardashian would appear on Hilton and Richie’s reality TV show The Simple Life and make an instant impact. This was the start of their friendship with Kardashian taking Richie’s place. She then became one of Hilton’s closest friends and the two were often spotted together.

However, this would change in 2007 when Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in prison for reckless driving. The sentence took a toll on Hilton’s image and happened at the time Kardashian was reaching superstardom. The pair eventually grew apart as Kim K became the most recognizable TV star, while Hilton’s popularity declined.
