‘Wilder vs, Fury 2’ is just around the corner. A rematch of one of the most phenomenal matchups in boxing history is now just a few days away. With such a short time remaining, Tyson Fury featured in an interview with BT Sports Boxing.
He went down the memory lane of his earlier bout with Deontay Wilder. He started by stating that he never planned to step into the ring during his phase of depression and addiction, stating that the only reason he was working back then was to bring his life back to normal, to lose the extra weight and avoid addiction.
According to Fury, all that time away from boxing made him lose his legacy. The fight with Fury really helped him get back all that he’d lost. A fight between the two had become inevitable ever since 2017, but Fury’s medical issues led to its postponement. After two in-ring confrontations, private meetings, and whatnot, the fight was officially declared to be held on 1 December 2018.

Thus took place one of the most excruciating Boxing matches ever. Both players went toe-to-toe, none backing down or allowing the other person to acquire dominance. Midway through the last round, Deontay Wilder successfully knocked out Tyson Fury with a huge right hand, but to everyone’s shock, Fury got right back up. The comeback is known as one of the greatest comebacks of Boxing history, as a knocked-out-cold Tyson Fury managed to get back up withing the referee’s countdown despite having spent the last hour or so in an immensely straining fight.

Regarding the knockout itself, Fury said, “Yeah, I was out for a few seconds.” The only thing going on during Tyson’s mind at the time was to get back up. “That’s what we are taught as kids, as boxers. When you get put down, you get back up.”
The Gypsy King also told the interviewers that he had had a dream about similar events the night before the match. “I’ve got this inner ability, sort of. I dream and becomes a reality for some reason, I don’t know why. Sometimes I dream about things and it actually happens, and I prepare for that.”
The Supernatural powers of the Gypsy King deserve credit for his ultimate fighting persona. Fury said that he hadn’t even practiced getting back up. Yet, because of the dream, he knew what to expect and got back up even after a devastating blow from one of the strongest strikers ever.
