Swansea striker Wilfried Bony has told the club that he wants to join a Champions league side this January. Injury plagued Manchester City seem quite keen to land the services of the Ivorian striker and are willing to pay in the range of £25-£30 million.

The reigning champions city have lost all of their frontline strikers to injuries and were forced to start with James Milner upfront. In order to continue their pursuit of the premier league title, they need to buy another striker and Pelligrini feels that Wilfried Bony could be the answer.

After his 12 million move from Vitesse Arnhem 18 months ago, he has scored 25 goals for the Swans and has so far added 9 goals this season. The Welsh club might be reluctant to sell their prime striker, but an opportunity of doubling their initial outlay with an offer of £30 million might be too hard to turn down.
