The 8X Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman needs no introduction. He is the winner of 26 IFBB pro titles and is known for his massive combination and size. Ronnie has always done heavy workout regimes, and this makes him the strongest bodybuilding champion of all time. However, hard work and success come with other consequences.

The King is a name etched in bodybuilding history. In order to stay at the zenith of success, Coleman went through excessive training for several years. From strict diets to working out long hours he sacrificed a lot. This made his health deteriorate due to a lack of rest. He always had issues with his back and shoulders from the start, and his condition worsened with age. Ronnie had to go through multiple surgeries and is still going through treatment every day. He recently shared his recovery process through his Instagram handle.

Ronnie Coleman gives a health update

Ronnie took to his Instagram and shared a post to give an update about his health. He wrote, “I have been receiving stem cell treatment for over 2 years now to keep my pain in check. This is my 6th time here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the Regenamex clinic yeah buddy !”

The picture shows him sitting on a sofa with a nurse beside him, and Coleman is smiling ear to ear. He is going through Stem cell treatment for two years due to his chronic problems. Ronnie has undergone 13 surgeries till now.

Most of his fortune went into these operations. He has been going through this since 2007. The age as well as heavy weightlifting has taken a toll on his health. Ronnie also spoke about the root cause of his health problems with Joe Rogan and when he started facing issues.

The root cause of the health problems

The main reason for these extensive treatments might have started in 1996. This was the year when The King had dislocated his disc while squatting. Coleman ignored his condition for over 10 years and made it worse.

He trained vigorously with 800lbs which finally led to immense health problems. Joe Rogan had advised him on getting treatment in America. Rogan also stated, “My mom was scheduled to get a knee replacement. I sent her down to Panama. And 6 months later, started to feel good. 8 months later, no pain at all.”
