“Are You Kidding Me?”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Outwardly Shrugs off Eli and Peyton Manning’s Bizarre Mid-Game Plea

Being a renowned name all over the globe because of his countless ventures, Arnold Schwarzenegger is a huge sports fan himself. ‘The Austrian Oak’ can often be seen enjoying a football game in his free time. The bodybuilding legend was recently invited to an episode of ManningCast as the New York Jets hosted the Los Angeles Chargers and he brought a tag-along. Schwarzenegger brought his pet donkey Lulu along with him on the episode. 

While his cute little friend managed to steal the show, NFL fans also had a great night with Schwarzenegger by their side. As the Chargers dominated the game and won by a resounding score of 27-6, the Manning brothers and Arnold Schwarzenegger seemed to have a great time together. ‘The Austrian Oak’ even praised the bond that the brothers shared at one point. If you are an NFL fan or even a vivid sports fan, it is difficult to imagine that you have never come across the influential names of Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. Apart from being excellent quarterbacks during their prime years in the NFL, the brothers also share an exceptional bond. Despite their retirement from the sport, the brothers have managed to stay close to the sport by successfully transitioning into a broadcasting career. 

While being on the show, Schwarzenegger could not help but notice the amazing relationship that Eli and Peyton share. Among many other topics that the trio talked about, Schwarzenegger praised them by pointing out, “You guys are renowned and known all over the world. Are you kidding me? I cannot improve anything in your relationship and the way you do your job.”

Despite the respect that Schwarzenegger has for the brothers, before the show, he rejected a request that Peyton Manning made to Arnold. But what was it? Let’s take a look.

The strange request made by Peyton Manning

In a YouTube video posted by Omaha Production, Manning can be seen on a call with Schwarzenegger, inviting him to be on the Monday Night Show. However, he had a strange request/proposal regarding how Schwarzenegger would enter the show. Without even giving it a second thought, Schwarzenegger made it clear that he wouldn’t be going ahead with Peyton’s plans.

Peyton suggested, “Suddenly, you appear through a sort of electrical storm, crouched and naked, in Eli’s basement, right? Then, you’ll walk towards Eli and say, ‘I need your Corda zip, your boots, and your microphone.’ Then Eli’s gonna laugh at you right in your face, so then you’ll break his hand. And then, you’ll break his arm, then you toss Eli completely across his basement. Then, you’ll sit out, and I’ll interview you about the Chargers and Jets. So, what do you think?”
