Larry Wheels might be focusing on his bodybuilding career, but the former powerlifter continues to impress the fitness community. After breaking Ronnie Coleman’s dumbbell press record, Wheels showcased another absurd feat of strength. This time, the bodybuilder pressed 405 lbs for 32 reps without resting. However, coach Greg Doucette had an issue with it.

As a former powerlifter who loved to benchpress, Greg Coucette called out Larry Wheels for doing half reps. While he said that Wheels could beat his PR, he couldn’t take the Classic Physique bodybuilder’s latest PR seriously. Greg Doucette was one of many people who took issues with Larry Wheels only doing half reps and calling it a new PR.

In fact, the comments section was filled with people arguing among themselves. Many fans praised Larry Wheels for throwing around such an incredible weight for so many reps. However, fans like Greg Doucette wanted him to do it properly. “On this day, zero reps were performed,” is what Doucette thought he would see. Yet, he watched the whole clip and found something quite impressive.

Despite dishing out so many reps, Larry Wheels rested the mind-numbing weight on his chest. He then performed rep no. 31 and 32 with full range of motion. So, although the IFBB Pro was disappointed at first, he couldn’t help but praise. Coach Greg then theorized how many reps the 29-year-old could pull off with a full range of motion in total.

The bodybuilding coach explained that it was realistic to guess that Larry Wheels could perform at least 16 reps. However, he also made another prediction. Greg Doucette multiplied 32 with 0.66 and said Wheels might also perform 21 reps with full ROM. Greg Doucette also made another claim about the former powerlifter.

Is Larry Wheels back on ste***ds?

The Canadian bodybuilding veteran believes that Larry Wheels is back on performance-enhancing d***s. Coach Greg said that although Wheels said he had cycled off of ste***ds, he is probably “doing whatever it takes,” for bodybuilding. “He went on HRT for a while,” said the 43-year-old, but reminded people that the fitness influencer’s goals have changed.

Larry Wheels seems stronger than ever during his current off-season. So Greg Doucette believes that the Classic physique athlete is doing everything he safely can to maximize muscle gain. Wheels has already won two Classic Physique shows and hopes to compete in the Classic Physique Olympia stage with the best bodybuilders in the world.
