Ronnie Coleman visited India last year and appeared on YouTuber Beer Biceps’ podcast. The YouTuber earlier uploaded a snippet from their conversation where the duo discussed how bodybuilding training and ste***d use affected Coleman’s s*x life. The eight-time Mr. Olympia explained how natural and enhanced bodybuilding affected him differently.
Athletes from various sports abstain from intimacy, especially during the weeks leading up to a contest. While Ronnie Coleman also took this approach, he didn’t say that bodybuilding training and s*x didn’t become obstacles for one another. “I don’t think so… I was just as sexually active without it,” the King told host Ranveer Allahbadia. So the podcaster asked Coleman about ste***ds.
“With testosterone in your bloodstream, do you feel more turned on?” asked the podcaster. However, Ronnie Coleman explained that becoming enhanced negatively affected his s*x life. “No, you don’t. You’re less turned on. At least I was,” confessed Ronnie Coleman, to the surprise of Beer Biceps. However, the former bodybuilding champion explained why he felt so.

“Your body ain’t used to it. I didn’t grow up, you know, doing that. I’m putting these foreign substances in my body and I’m like I ain’t used to that,” explained the eight-time Mr. Olympia. “I can guarantee you that I was less sexually active with it (testosterone),” added the bodybuilding legend. However, Coleman became even more focused once he won the Mr. Olympia.
“When I was getting ready for a show I wasn’t having s*x… I got one thing on my mind and that’s winning,” the 60-year-old former champion said during the podcast. The record-holding Mr. Olympia had struggled for years before winning the Super Bowl of Bodybuilding, and he wasn’t ready to lose.

Ronnie Coleman was ready to quit bodybuilding
Ronnie Coleman turned pro in 1992 after winning the Mr. Universe title, but his journey got off to a rough start. The bodybuilding icon struggled to crack the top five at the Mr. Olympia. While Dorian Yates ruled the Olympia stage, Coleman struggled to make a mark and juggled bodybuilding and multiple jobs.

However, his motivation dropped to its lowest when he placed 9th at the 1997 Mr. Olympia, behind Lee Priest. “I was making a six-figure salary… I had part-time jobs,” the bodybuilding legend once admitted. However, Coleman decided to give it one more shot at the 1998 Mr. Olympia, and to his surprise, he won the contest. Coleman started arguably the greatest championship reign in bodybuilding history following his 1998 win.
So, Ronnie Coleman believes that bodybuilding did not affect his s*x life, but becoming an enhanced pro-bodybuilder did affect it. However, Coleman also said that, as Mr. Olympia, he only focused on winning and keeping his bodybuilding crown.
