“You May Call Me El Regalo”: 7x Mr. Olympia Phil Heath Transforms Into a Mexican Bartender as He Celebrates a Special Occasion

Bodybuilders are known for their strict diets and training routines. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t take time off their tight schedule just to let loose. Recently, the 7x Mr. Olympia Phil Heath donned a get-up very unlike the usual macho image he has on stage. The American bodybuilder did so while indulging himself in an annual Mexican celebration named, Cinco de Mayo.

Earlier today, the 43-year-old bodybuilder posted a video making two of his favorite drinks to commemorate the occasion. To celebrate the day that marks the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire, he wore colorful Mexican attire.

On 6th May, 7x Mr. Olympia posted a video wishing his fans on Cinco de Mayo. Adding to the caption of the video, he wrote, “HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!!!! 🇲🇽…We wish you happy and safe drinking! #HastaLaCruz 🥃” Dressed up fancy, he paired a loose rainbow-striped top with a big hat, the edges of which were turned inside out.

The video began with a chirpy Heath excitedly wishing his fans. He then proceeded to share the recipe for his favorite cocktails. The first one was a Spicy Mango Lemonade with Roso Blanco. Itching to share his recipe, Heath said, “Man, I can’t wait to get into this.” Satisfied after sipping his first mix, the bodybuilder immediately proceeded towards making the second concoction.

Next up was Smoked Mezcal Old Fashioned without the Cherry. Heath enjoyed himself while trying to give it a smoky flavor. Amazed by Heath’s antics, the 2008 Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson commented, “Black amigo! Lol.” To this, the champion replied, “you may call me ‘El Regalo’ or ‘7 Veces Mister Olympia’.” But while most of the fans enjoyed the video, some found things to be upset about.

The Gift gives a befitting reply to the critiques

No bodybuilding rulebook prohibits a bodybuilder from consuming alcohol in their lifetime. Still, some were taken aback by the fact that the 43-year-old drinks. Some fans had flocked to the comments section with varied strange remarks. One fan dramatically claimed that their dreams have been shattered because a bodybuilder is drinking.

Heath clapped back with a befitting five-worded reply. He wrote, “Blame Arnold in Pumping Iron.” The reply was in reference to one of the scenes portrayed in Schwarzenegger’s docudrama. In the said scene Arnie downed a shot of alcohol claiming it provides the much-needed protein and amino acid.

Despite the few negative comments, Heath didn’t let it sour his bubbly mood. He carried on with his happy interactions with other users just like he did with Jackson.
