The 2023 Mr. Olympia was historic in more ways than one. Derek Lunsford became the first two-division champion in bodybuilding history. Another historic moment came in the immensely popular Classic Physique division. Defending champion Chris Bumstead succeeded in his mission to become a five-time champion. Despite tough competition from Ramon Dino and Urs Kalecinski, CBum emerged victorious.

However, after losing to CBum and Dino, the German prodigy Urs Kalecinski returned to his winning ways. Despite competing about a week ago at the 2023 Mr. Olympia, Kalesinski secured his qualification for next year’s Olympia. The Miracle Bear made a statement, soundly winning the Texas State Pro 2023. His quick turnaround garnered praise from bodybuilding greats and fellow competitors.

Urs Kalecinski competed in the Texas State Pro stage against 12 other classic physique bodybuilders. However, the Classic Physique Olympia bronze medalist dominated the competition as the most complete bodybuilder on stage. Some might argue the German bodybuilder brought even superior conditioning than what he had at the Olympia stage.

After the pre-judging, judges narrowed down the field to four competitors. Kirhee Cooper, Mehdi Larijani, Eric Wildberger, and Urs Kalecinski, who led the pack. The Miracle Bear won the show. Mehdi Larijani was the runner-up. Meanwhile, Wildberger placed third, and Cooper finished in fourth place. Kalecinski’s emphatic victory drew praise from the bodybuilding community.
