The Nigerian Lion, Samson Dauda, is known to possess the kind of size and symmetry that has not been seen in the bodybuilding world for quite some time now. With his insane transformation, he managed to bag the title of the Arnold Classic 2023 and became the Men’s Open bodybuilding champion.

Despite only coming in third at the 2023 Mr. Olympia, Dauda went on to win the ELVS Prague Pro and the Romania Muscle Fest, ending the year with a bang. Now, Dauda has not just been getting showers of praise from his fans and followers, but also from elite bodybuilders. With a recent Instagram post of his, he even left the 2022 Mr. Olympia champion in awe with his impressive physique.

Samson Dauda’s New Year motivation post

Samson Dauda shared a video of himself posing on the stage of the 2019 Vancouver Pro next to The Persian Wolf, Hadi Choopan. Through the post, he intended to inspire people, giving them some New Year’s motivation. He wrote, “It’s not about how you start the race but how you choose to keep running it….bring on 2024.”

This caught the attention of Hadi Choopan as well, as he was tagged in the post. Complimenting Samson Dauda on his transformation, he wrote, “Well done, well done, you have progressed very well, well done.” Gaining the appreciation of the 2023 Mr. Olympia runner-up is not a small thing. But Dauda is used to this, and much more.

Even as he continues to gain plaudits from the community for his achievements, Dauda is not in this just for glory. Following the footsteps of the legendary Jay Cutler, Dauda is more focused on promoting the sport. After going through months of grueling training to participate in the Mr. Olympia, Dauda chose not to rest, rather he went on demonstrating his commitment.

Samson Dauda’s efforts in promoting bodybuilding

In a snippet of his podcast, shared by the Serbian coach, Milos Sarcev, he wrote a caption that questioned why Dauda was still competing in other shows after the Olympia. In the clip, Sarcev could be seen explaining that before the Olympia, Dauda asked him about his opinion on the Nigerian Lion doing the Romania and Prague events. The reason Dauda gave for this was that he wanted to have a presence in the shows because, in that way, he could promote the sport, even if he did not win.

Sarcev even added what Samson Dauda said to him. He went on, “He says I want like Jay did 2006 right and Ronnie and Dorian. You go for a $110,000 purse you know after you just won 300,000 at the Arnold Classic and you had a crack and 400,000 at the Olympia you know of course it’s not comparable,” showcasing how money was not everything for Dauda.
