If Mike O’Hearn has kept his ever-youth physique alive in his mid-50s, it is mostly because he was willing to take risks to improve and maintain his body. While the bodybuilder tried to point out the difference between his perceptions and society’s usually believed perceptions about injuries and exercises, he also gave a valuable tip.

Mike O’Hearn is 54 and has won the Fitness Model of the Year 7 times! The Gladiator Titan has always been known for his intense training to maintain his beastly aesthetic body quite intact. He recently shared his unfiltered opinion about how one should not worry too much about injuries.

The Titan made it clear that he would never tell a person that exercises as hard as Behind the Neck Presses are bad for people. In fact, he went on to defend it to such an extent that he complained about people’s shoulders instead. He said, “My point of view on this is people say that behind-the-neck press is bad for you and I say you have bad shoulders that you can’t do behind the neck press.”

Furthermore, Mike O’Hearn added how Weightlifting has never given a 100% guarantee of safety. He stated, “Weightlifting isn’t guaranteed that you are not gonna get injured.” He also emphasized the fact that he had never said that one wouldn’t get injured. He suggested that one has the capacity to set their bodies stronger as they wish to be and as they work for it. He also imitated how society holds people back by saying, “You got these fragile bodies,” which demotivates them.

This has not been the first time when Mike O’Hearn has called out people for bad-mouthing this old-school exercise. He often openly criticized such myths.

This old-school exercise does have some cautions to be remembered before performing cause it can strain one’s neck muscles. He once pointed out how Behind-the-neck exercises are not necessarily bad. Then he made a snarly comment stating, “Stop saying it’s bad for you, you are doing it wrong, oh that’s gonna make some snowflakes very angry”.
