In a recent interview with Escape Fitness, Lee Haney revealed that he worked with Dr. Fred Hatfield during his prime years. Dr. Hatfield’s contributions to the field of strength training and powerlifting made him a highly respected figure in the fitness community. His work continues to influence and inspire athletes and coaches around the world. Talking about Dr. Hatfield, Haney stated,??He squatted over 1000 pounds to set a world record at the age of 46. You don’t squat a 1000 pounds when you are 46 years old.?
Continuing further, Haney explained that Fred believed that one can train and stimulate the muscles without using heavy weights as well. He admitted that using the tips and advice given by Dr Hatfield made sure that Haney does not suffer from any pain even at the age of 58. “I have no knee, hip, back, or shoulder problems…because I understand the science,”?concluded Haney.?

Explaining the reason behind this, Haney said that an athlete shall understand the co-relation between intense training and proper recovery. However, the??younger school? has issues with their back, knees, and hips and has??ripped themselves apart,??pursuing a bodybuilding career.?
