As the 2023 edition of the marquee event comes up, one can’t help but notice how some bodybuilders will be missing the event, owing to one reason or the other.

Unfortunately, bodybuilding icon Nick Walker is one of them after he announced that he was injured. However, he is not alone in his battle because numerous fans came to the comments to announce their support. However, the biggest encouragement he got was from his girlfriend Maria Carvajal, who never left his side and stayed with him through all crises.

Nick Walker faced a hamstring glute injury, and his leg looked pretty beaten up. It was bruised and clearly, he pushed through, but Walker will not be able to participate this time. Any bodybuilding champion would be devastated if this happened right when the competition was at their heels. However, he was extremely mature and sporting about it, even if he got a little teary-eyed.

Recently Maria Carvajal? posted a video on her own Instagram account showing her support for her partner and gave a heartfelt message to Walker. While the video showed Walker going about his life after the injury and taking proper treatment, she was always by his side. She wrote in the caption, ?I?ve never seen someone so dedicated and true to themselves than you. Watching you deal with this hasn?t been easy but I?ve also learned how much character you have. You?re a warrior. No one has seen the entire behind-the-scenes of what takes to get here. You fought through the pain and truly did whatever it took.?

Maria did not sugarcoat the hardest times and wrote, ?The hardest part? Pretending it was all okay when it wasn?t these past couple of days. Always by your side.? Earlier, while addressing his fans through Instagram, The Mutant was honest and brave when he addressed his impending absence at the Mr. Olympia.

Nick Walker?recently took to his official Instagram?and shared a video of his injury and the reason why he won’t be able to compete in Mr Olympia 2023. The Mutant suffered from a hamstring tear and despite pushing through and trying out everything possible his condition only kept getting worse. He is going through treatment at the moment, but the bodybuilding icon and his team decided to withdraw from the show so that he could recover completely. Walker also revealed that everyone was extremely supportive, showcasing his motivation to come back again next year.
