Frank Zane recently shared a profound insight on his Instagram account. Alongside a picture showcasing his towering and exceptionally shredded physique, he emphasized that habitual usage of negative body metaphors can lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy, potentially hindering progress.

Zane emphasized that the power of words should never be underestimated. When it comes to bodybuilding, the language we use to describe ourselves and our bodies can significantly influence our progress and mindset. Constantly referring to oneself using negative metaphors can create a self-limiting belief system.

“Habitual usage of negative body metaphors can lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy and you may develop symptoms of what you are saying,” he wrote in the caption. However, this is not the first time his insights have differed from the rest of the bodybuilding community.
