In the latest episode of the Mike O’Hearn Show on Generation Iron Fitness & Bodybuilding Network YouTube channel, the 54- year-old collaborated with ace wrestler Josh Barnett and the latter’s son. The video reflects O’Hearn sharing words of wisdom with the youngster.

Mike O’Hearn stresses on Mind-Muscle connection

Mike O’Hearn often collaborates with elite bodybuilders and athletes to discuss various aspects of the sport. Over the years, he earned great knowledge about the sport by pursuing it and interacting with legends like Frank Zane. Now it is Titan’s turn to spread his knowledge by mentoring Josh Barnett’s young son. So, the 54-year-old gave some very important advice to the teenager. 

I see in weightlifting that never happens if somebody in their teenage years or in their 20s never did the mind and muscle connection and they believe, “If I get under here and squat this, I’m gonna get big legs,” No, it doesn’t work that way,” he said. Further stressing his words, the elite bodybuilder said, to develop great legs mind-muscle connection is mandatory.

So, he assured Barnett’s son that if he focuses and understands the position and connects to it while squatting, he will “win.” Mike O’Hearn often trains with elite bodybuilders and once trained with Hall of Fame wrestler Billy Gunn.

Over the last four decades, Titan never skipped his gym routine, and the results are visibly clear. With a body that is envied by many, O’Hearn stuns his fans with heavyweight training sessions at the gym. But O’Hearn is all about the right way to do a workout.

Earlier, he joined the Hall of Fame wrestler, Billy Gunn, to get an intense arm workout. While the WWE champion got into a rigorous Rope Hammers workout, O’Hearn was monitoring and cheering him. “The mighty gun” show! Big boy!” Titan said in a morale-boosting tone. Mike O’ Hearn also got his arm workout done in the video.
