Arnold Schwarzenegger found success in all three different careers he took up. And during a recent interview with CNN reporter Chris Wallace, the bodybuilding icon opened up about one of them. While appearing on Who’s Talking To Chirs Wallace, the seven-time Mr. Olympia spoke about his life-changing moment in 2003. When the host asked Arnold Schwarzenegger how he felt when he won the election to become the Governor of California, the 75-year-old made an honest confession.

“How moved were you by the idea that millions of people in this state decided to trust you with their future?” Wallace asked the seven-time Mr. Olympia winner. Schwarzenegger, who had transitioned into politics from acting, revealed what he felt at that moment and how feeling like an outsider worked wonders for him.

Further in the interview, Wallace asked Arnold Schwarzenegger though he had found success as a bodybuilder and an actor, was he “a little scared?” stepping into politics. Instead of directly answering the question, the 75-year-old said he had one key thing as a Governor. “People were looking for an outsider, and I played that outsider,” said the former politician.

The Hollywood superstar had flair. After becoming one of the most dependable leading men in Hollywood, Schwarzenegger wore the flair on his sleeves. When he became the Governor, the Terminator actor kept that flair. “I kept on my alligator boots… smoking my cigars… drove my Hummer,” said the former politician.

Instead of flipping his personality, Schwarzenegger showed authenticity, and people loved him for it. “And to answer your question… Yes, I was crying,” said the 75-year-old about feeling moved when he won the elections. “I just was absolutely stunned… and so happy,” Arnie said. However, after becoming the governor, Arnie faced a different challenge.
