It is not easy being an athlete. Every single day, many athletes get hurt and injured severely, so much so that some injuries even become life-threatening. It becomes the responsibility of the athlete to elevate their mindset post-injury. Unfortunately, as it is, some of the greatest sportsmen have lost their best skills owing to many such incidents.

The 54-year-old WWE legend, Kurt Angle, is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time in the world of pro wrestling. No one would ever question Angle’s capabilities. Recently, the man who won an Olympic gold medal with a broken neck, talked about his injuries.

Kurt Angle reveals how his broken neck had affected him

In a recent interview video posted by @Mark Bell’s Power Project on their YouTube channel, Kurt Angle is featured. Angle testified that he had an insane amount of severe injuries while also striving to be at the top of his game. As fans get repeatedly curious about his approach, he addressed his philosophy of life in the podcast. He says, “I broke my neck five times”. Then he explains how he had trouble doing even the bare minimum. He confessed, “I could barely do 10 push-ups”.

Furthermore, Kurt Angle also talked about how the injuries had made it hard for him to live a normal life. He added, “That’s how weak my upper body was from my broken necks.”

As the conversation proceeded, Kurt Angle discussed how grateful he was for Dana White. He expressed his regard for him while addressing how he had given Angle many opportunities.

In the video, Angle thanks Dana White after revealing that he had given Angle several opportunities in his career. However, Kurt Angle repents at the same moment as he confesses to having not used the advantages that he had access to. After addressing the good capabilities and personality of White, Angle utters, “Unfortunately, I didn’t take advantage of it.”

It should be observed how even after breaking his neck 5 times, Kurt still strived to improve himself, instead of just staying idle. Even as he found it hard to do 10 pushups, he also indicated how he had still tried to overcome the faults of his situation, even though it had been a thoroughly hard circumstance.
