However, The Sultan of Symmetry is again in the limelight as he shines a light on the importance of mental health even for exceptional athletes like Dwayne Johnson.
The Rock has always been open about his struggles with mental health and how he overcame them to achieve success in his career. But his latest podcast caught the eyes of Wheeler as he shared the post in which Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was talking about a personal experience of fighting with depression.
Dwayne Johnson opens up about his first battle with Depression

In the Instagram post, Johnson was speaking openly about his battle with depression during his high school years. Johnson revealed that he suffered from depression when he was in Miami, and as a result, he stopped going to school. “I didn’t go to school, I did not take any matters and I just left.” However, till that time he didn’t know about the concept of mental health “I just knew that I didn’t want to be there and wasn’t going to any other team meetings and wasn’t participating in anything”, he said.

Johnson also added that his shoulder injury made things worse as he couldn’t even work out to channel his emotions in a constructive way. “For us athletes, any kind of sweat getting it in would help get that sh** go out of you. But I couldn’t do it because of my shoulder”, he said in the video.

Wheeler shared the post on his story with a reminder that mental health issues have complicated repercussions on any individual and even experienced athletes aren’t spared of it. “Mental health affects people than you can even imagine. Even are Superheroes“, he wrote. However, this is not the first time when the bodybuilding champion opened up about the important topic.
Wheeler expresses his concern about rising cases
Wheeler recently posted a video talking about the Rising cases of mental health problems. The 57-year-old said that while he was happy that people are opening up about such issues, he was shocked to see the gripping power of such a mental disease. “…Mental disease is so gripping and so powerful. It’s just amazing how many people out there are struggling, you know with, suicidal…you know.”
