The Golden era of bodybuilding displayed both competition and camaraderie among bodybuilders. Most of the champions of that time trained together at the Gold’s gym while learning important lessons from each other. Zane, Schwarzenegger, and Columbu trained together and were receivers of Mr. Olympia’s titles.
While Schwarzenegger started the Arnold Classic to give back to the sport, Zane contributed by discussing the various aspects of bodybuilding in podcasts and social media channels. In his latest post, the Hall of Famer declared that bodybuilding involves more than just lifting weights.

The Chemist pointed out that “Exercise, Attitude, Recuperation, and Nutrition,” are the key areas where the quality of efforts is required to witness progress. “Since the relationship between these four factors is multiplicative, you must do your best at each one to make maximum progress,” he suggested in his post while sharing a picture of his aesthetic physique from his prime. Earlier, the bodybuilding icon opened up about his struggles in his career path.

The 81-year-old recently said, “You know I always had to work for a living and so I was able to teach in school for a while.” He confessed that working for a living while training has been an obstacle. But the legend didn’t give up and was conscious of his muscle gains since the start.
