Lee Haney is one of the most famous names from the golden era of bodybuilding. He became the youngest bodybuilder to win Mr. Olympia 1984 when he was only 24 years old. That was the start of his epic journey and he became a record holder after winning 8 Mr. Olympia titles for the first time in history and only Ronnie Coleman shares this record with him. He trained like a total beast to a team the mammoth physique and the aesthetics that were needed during the golden era.

Since the 67-year-old knows the hard work that was needed in the past and how every muscle and sinewy had to be worked and trained to look like a Greek god he doubts modern bodybuilders. His latest post sheds a lot of light on the new trends in bodybuilding that might be eradicating the aesthetic sense of the sport.

He recently posted a throwback picture of himself on stage posing with his biceps and quads that look massive and chiseled. Every single muscle on his body is prominent and aesthetic while he is posing on stage. Along with the picture, he expressed his disappointment in the modern era of bodybuilding. He wrote, “There was a day when the holy grail of Bodybuilding was symmetry and masterful posing presentation. Will there ever be a rebirth of Excalibur?”

Haney is one of the only bodybuilders who has retired and competed without many injuries in his career. He ate well and he trained smart and he walked away with a healthy body.
