The bodybuilding prodigy excelled in the biggest amateur Competition and achieved his IFBB classic title and the championship. This is how he broke, the Austrian Oak’s record that had remained untouched for 57 years.
He is only 19, but he has already built a well-defined and flawless physique. Despite his metabolism being dialed up to 11 due to his young age, it still was not an easy process, but he managed to impress the judges with his Greek God physique and earn his card.
In one of his Instagram posts the young bodybuilder narrated his adversities and challenges while preparing for the competition. He said, “ I’m so glad that I decided to pursue my true passion, and didn’t let negativity get to me.”
Even though he has not received much media attention as of yet, he is still training for these meaningful moments, and four years of hard work is finally paying off. His social media following is also growing day by day, and he has almost 2.5M followers on Instagram. There has also been a lot of talk about getting him to compete in next year’s Mr Olympia, alongside Chris Bumstead, who has won the last five Mr Olympia in the class physique category.
Why is the young 19-year-old the next Chris Bumstead?
He put together three consecutive victories at the NPC national level with the finals in Texas where he was on his pro card. He is a classic physique competitor, just like Chris Bumstead. The five-time Mr Olympia class physique winner had first competed in this category at 19 years old but earned his pro card at 21 after winning the 2016 IFBB, North American, bodybuilding championship.
Ratushnyi had only lifted his first set of weights four years ago when he was just 15 years old and went from a skinny teenager to a ripped and muscular athlete at 19. He showcases his intense training regime on Instagram and already has a large fan following.
