Kali Muscle, the popular YouTuber and former bodybuilder, had a life-changing experience after suffering a heart attack in 2021. In a recent podcast appearance, Muscle reflected on the poor lifestyle choices, including steroid use, that led to his cardiac arrest and how his outlook on fitness and diet has drastically shifted since then.

Appearing on the Escape Your Limits podcast, Kali Muscle opened up about his experience, forcing him to reevaluate his approach to fitness and diet. Muscle admitted that years of bad lifestyle choices, including high-carb diets and steroid abuse, contributed to his cardiac problems, but the experience has given him a new perspective on health.

Since his heart attack, Kali Muscle has adopted a different approach to his fitness and diet, revealing that he no longer relies on constant eating to maintain his physique. “I’m crazy shredded and just don’t have to depend on food,” Muscle explained, adding that he’s now at a healthy 195 pounds and feels better than ever.

Muscle also questioned many of the traditional bodybuilding principles he once followed, particularly regarding diet. Everything we learned to me, is fake, he claimed, rejecting the idea that bodybuilders need to eat six or more meals a day. ‘What we’ve been told we need, we don’t! Like six meals a day, four, or three meals a day,” he explained, stressing that he no longer adheres to these norms.

When the interviewer noted that Muscle’s success in maintaining his physique without heavy food intake might be due to his years of bodybuilding, Muscle responded, When you face death, you look at life different”. His heart attack forced him to prioritize health over muscle mass.”

They are not fat they are not over muscular or buff.” He finally concludes, “That’s how my mind is now!

The bodybuilder credits his bad lifestyle choices for his heart attack

The former Mr.California served a jail term for robbery. While in prison, the bodybuilder depended on high-carb food such as Top Ramen. He now feels that such bad carbs have led to his heart problems and his bodybuilding career also didn’t help as he was high on steroids.
